From May 14 to 16, the 2026 Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Sports Media Conference was held at Sichuan Radio and Television in Chengdu.
Founded in 1964, the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union is the world’s largest professional international broadcasting organization, with 224 member organizations across 66 countries and regions. Launched in 1987, the ABU Sports Media Conference has become an important industry platform for advancing international exchange and cooperation in sports media and exploring the future of sports communication.
Under the theme “Leading the New Era: Sports Communication and Digital Platforms,” this year’s conference focused on ultra-high-definition coverage of international sporting events, the integrated development of digital platforms, and breakthroughs in new technologies such as AI, UHD, and drone broadcasting in sports communication.

Integrating professional audio and video interfaces, high-speed IT network interfaces, and multi-format media processing capabilities, it supports 4K dual-channel recording, professional format adaptation, dual-file writing, and collaboration with mainstream non-linear editing software, improving the efficiency of live production and post-production workflows.
Multimodal Content Data Platform
The multimodal content data platform enables intelligent analysis and organization of multi-source content — including video, audio, images, and documents. It supports precise retrieval, statistical analysis, visual presentation, and content reuse for sports events.
Taking the Sichuan City Football League analytics application as an example, the platform can intelligently organize content around players, teams, goal types, and the corresponding video clips, helping sports content evolve from accumulation to value-driven operation.
